Cool I’ve been thinking about this upgrade but didn’t know what to do with my old one. I didn’t think there was a market for used exhaust.

You might be able to trade your exhaust with some of the 2020 Pro guys who want to get rid of them.

Yeah of they are in good shape sell them.. 1st I tired selling mine about new with 1k miles for 100. Dropped to fifty, then gave it away.
Come to find out new they cost around 700 for both parts new! 2 year old ones are selling on eBay for 2-3 hundred

If i could weld i would cut out the cats in the mid pipe, but i can't so waiting to pull the trigger on the URD setup. Not as purdy as the custom https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...pe-for-2nd-gen-tacoma-t4r-fj-cruisers.578228/

    but half the cost.

I’m running Doug Thorley long tubes, URD off road Y pipe and a flowmaster 40. It sounds amazing but the codes have been a nightmare. They went away for about a year using a hand held tuner, but they just popped up again yesterday. I guess I need a dynotune :frustrated:

Not sure if this was posted somewhere, but thought these sound clips of the 4Runner TRD exhaust sound pretty accurate to what it sounds like in person, especially his 2nd clip from outside.

I got the TRD exhaust installed today. Easy install. Reused front muffler gasket. But part number is 17451-31020 if anyone wants to replace it.

Ordered the TRD exhaust last week and got my tracking number this morning. I plan to add just a standard K&N replacement air filter and take out factory OEM paper filter. Hoping to see some MPG gains. I did the same set up on a Tundra and saw a 1 MPG increase after installing the set up.

Any of you guys see any changes in MPGs after installing the TRD exhaust?

I noticed instantly a huge loss of mpg 1st day or 2 constantly smashing on the pedal to hear the new entertainment. When I realized mpg dropped big-time I slowed down. After back to my normal driving style, slow and easy picked up about 1 mpg. Just drive slow and easy and enjoy the new rumble of the exhaust.

Crossfitrunner did you go through with the upgrade. I have been thinking about putting one on my 2018 4runner, but I'm not sure if the bolting pattern and pipe layout will fit my truck. Toyota has been no help.

It’s cheaper to buy from my local stealer $698 and just pay the 9.75% tax.
