This parts company said it's not even for dealers. I just placed an order with another toyota parts dealer and they asked for vin. I pulled one from a dealer website for a TRD PRO. We will see what they do. Ha!

Putting a 2019 TRD pro roof rack on a 2019 TRD off road. Where can I get the “ paper washers” to prevent leaking? I have all other mounting hardware. Also has anyone uploaded a video of installation?

They’re fiber washers. No P/N on installation instructions. You will need brackets mentioned on instructions, part number #6318542020 qty 4.

Sorry off topic....So I asked on another forum and no answer. 2020 pro going to stock rails. Does anyone have a part number for the 8 10mm bolts and washers needed. Also are there any other parts I may have missed and do we need any sealant on the stock rails other than the bolt gaskets? Thank you!

    Featured snippet from the web
According to Silicones: Chemistry and Corrosion, “Single part silicone sealers generally contain a cross-linking catalyst (such as a tin compound) that is activated upon exposure to moisture in the air.” When acetic acid is released, it attacks and corrodes metals such as copper, zinc, brass, and galvanized steel.

Thanks, I'll take that as no other sealant needed. I asked because across forums many used it saying washers were not enough.
Any idea on part # for the stock rail bolts and washers? Thank you

This is the kit I used. But seems like the part number changed ? As far as I know the washers are not sold outside of this install kit.

or just get this kit PT27835130HW from the dealer for ~$15. Contains all the composite, foam washers and bolts needed for the install. But you’ll also need 4 of these brackets which is not part of the kit.

Hey Dave, I removed my Pro rack and added the black rails. I used clear permatex around the holes to be safe. No issues with leaks.

the roof rails are self sealing to the roof you do not need any thing else just clean the area before installing and make sure you use the washers and torq down the bolts to 14lb.

the Oem stock rails has a cover to protect the Bolts and rubber washers below them. All that is needed is the stock bolts and rubber washers.

Unfortunately the the rails I bought the dude wore off the pads that surround the white tubes at the roof line. When I asked about it I was everyone suggested I was stupid to assume anyone could remove stock rails without damaging the pads. Toyota said I would need to purchase the (4) bolt down assemblies to get a good seal.
RusPro, thanks for the suggestion. I ended up using permatex black rubber but don't know if it worked. The ex took off with the rig(hope it leaks like heck! :D)

I had the rubber washers. There's another seal at the bottom of where the mount sits on the roof. It's built into the mount and only way to fix it is seal it or replace the mount. I used butyl, 3M marine sealant and they both leaked. Everything was cleaned and prepped, water gets under the mounts.
I like the trail and pro set up better, buy the FJ kit dirt cheap and get new bolts gaskets and coated retainers that all seal er up

No problem, I know some guys say you don’t need the silicone or anything. I did not want to take a chance of any leaks. Because if there is a leak it will stain the hell out of the interior roof.

I cant spot them in your pic but this is this pic the bottom part of the mount bracket shows it has holes open through into the cap area that takes in water. maybe they were defective or just downright screwed up by the dude that sold them to me. looking at the bolt hole on the mount, the rubber gasket was torn or worn off. I was told that needs to be sealed to keep water going through the outside of the white tubes/ through the roof. This pic was taken the day they were delivered after purchasing

the bottom of rubber rack feet looks like it had the same foam style washers as the TRD pro roof rack. The extra holes is probably for drainage as those two holes line up with the rails. Here’s a pic of my old rack.

~38” is the distance from bar to bar where the cross bars attach to. the cross bars are identical to the ones used on the fj

    Hey Dave,
Mine were much better. My black rails were brand new from another off road 4runner. I got them right from the dealer where they remove them and do all these extra upgrades to sell 4runner. They add lifts and roof racks. Mine was a set just taken off and put back in the parts department. The parts guy hooked me up. But even when I got them you can see from factory there was some kind of silicone that is added because I peeled mine off and it was almost like rubbery. So I think Toyota adds just a little seal on the bottom part there like i did.
