It's rubbing behind the front wheel on the inner fender, there is a bump molded into the inner fender, I used a heat gun to flatten it down but still rubbing the plastic.
Would an alignment of 4 degrees positive caster fix the issue?

I don't have any experience with trying to fit wheels with a -12 offset. However, if you're rubbing behind the front wheel, then it stands to reason that pushing your wheel forward (setting the caster closer to 4 degrees) would help alleviate that rub. The issue then becomes that you might rub on the fender liner in front of the wheel. But that's not a big deal because you can do the fender liner mod where you loosen 2 screws, push the front of your fender liner forward a couple of inches, re-install those screws and trim a small corner of your front fender flare with a box cutter. Sounds a little scarier than it actually is. It's extremely easy to do as well.

I'm only running 275/65/18's with bilstein 5100 at max lift.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll probably try the alignment first

Sure thing. The alignment is definitely a good first step.

Let us know how it turns out.

Oh, and the alignment shop doesn't have to hit exactly 4 degrees.

Just specify you're looking for something between 3.5 - 4 degrees.

I appreciate all the pics you've posted, thank you.

Question - in your opinion, would you say the Pro Truck lift without a front bumper & winch would make the oem size tires look too small? The reason I ask is in my search for an install shop for simply doing the struts & shocks without the springs, the prices are so outrageous. If I have to shell out so much for an install, I might as well do the Pro Truck lift...

The only issue is finding a competent alignment shop to do this...
There is not a shop in the town that I live in that I trust to do anything,
there are several shops in my town but I've never had good experiences with them.
But I do use a shop that's about 30 miles North of me that does an okay job of alignments.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions.

I have a weird opinion on that. When my stock size Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires are clean they look proportionate. When dirty they look small to me.
I plan to go up a size or 2 at the next tire change, 30k to 40k miles from now. Looking at Falken 255/80R17 which is a 33inch tire vs the stock 265/70R17 31.7 inch tire.

Edited to add... if by stock size tires you mean the Bridgestone HT's - those look horrible no matter what.

Agreed...I think dirt is lighter in color than clean tires which make them look smaller. I even notice this with bright aluminum/chrome rims and even white tire lettering. Recently I installed the silver/black Offroad rims and they look much more proportional in size and I used the same tires I had on previously. Originally I had white lettering and went to black walls when I switched. Nothing weird about it in my opinion...

Very cool, and informative video. If I didn’t already have Kings I would definitely consider Eibach for sure, Thanks.

I was referring to the 265-70/17 size in general. I have the Dunlops, and the stock sized Falkens look so much better on your 4R, even with the lift, but I know you have more weight up front, thus the question. I do not plan on a bumper or winch any time soon.

1st mod for me was tires on day 1. 2nd was the winch / bumper / Trd skid plate.
The lift came soon after the winch.

Grabbing a couple pics from the other board. Eibach with stock size / brand tires. Looks OK but I'd want some better tires soon.

I could live with the Pro Truck kit with 265/70 tires if it turned out like the last photo with KO2s...the other option is going one size up to 275/70 in a load range C tire, of which there are very few selections.

Has anyone seen any information given on what the lift amount would be on the new Eibach adjustable front coilovers, with the adjustment collar at the bottom and the new spring?

I'm not referring to the photo above, I know those are for the rear. My question was about the new front coilovers being developed. I was wondering what the lift amount was, if any, with the adjustment all the way down.

Found a shop today that quoted $115.00 per side to install the Eibach front adjustable struts + $100 for alignment. They would charge $25 per side for the rear shocks. So all told, if they did everything - $380.00

    That sounds much more reasonable.

Have they worked on KDSS equipped vehicles before?

I plan a personal visit to the shop later this week to find out. The quote came over the phone, and the guy said 'no problem' when I described my vehicle having KDSS, but you know how sales counter people are. I plan to take my 4R by and speak to the installers personally to find out. Once I have confidence they know how to work with KDSS, I plan to place my order for the Eibach struts/shocks.

I wonder if they will just sell the adjusters and bump stops? That would knock $200 off the price tag and come out to roughly $300.

Still pricey, but it is pretty close to what I was expecting.

They said the spring needs to be machined to accept the adjuster.
I will probably get these as I want to be able to crank them up when towing but right now not spending any cash until this Corona thing clears up!
