Lease is the way to go with a Mercedes. They are very nice, super comfortable, just not reliable long term. 100K miles if that and they start getting real expensive.

Mounted the rigid diffused reverse lights. Sorry I've got pics but no time for a write up. The dash screen pic, the runner is about 45 feet to the garage
Pain in the neck to get relays and wires in the hatch.

Yes indeed! This will cost her nothing other than lease payment each month. Just the first 3 yrs alone maintenance costs are over $1,500. first service and oil change is 10K $370/ 20K $640/ 30K $750......:spending:

Installed the passenger side Rago Fabrication molle panel, installed the oem Toyota D ring part# 58460-35012, first aid kit, flashlight, and paper towel holder. this will do for now until i can think of anything else useful to put up. love the look and organisation on the rear now.

Nice! I like how we (most of the people on this forum) get a new runner and mod it out IMMEDIATELY! We had Sliders, Skids, Tires, Lift and Prinsu installed prior to the first service haha! The dealership mechanic wouldnt leave my wife alone about the mods haha.
PS, Put on shoes... you'll catch a cold! :D

Decided I didn't like the look of the chrome lug nuts but also didn't want to buy aftermarket lugnuts after reading reviews about how quickly they rusted or faded out. Buying the OEM Toyota lugnuts simply was not an option ($$$$$) either. Then I found these guys (colorlugs.com) and for $25 I added these simple caps. I figure if they aren't worth a flip or fade etc I'm only out $25 and about 5 minutes of my time.

1.5" lugs with wheel locks. I like the simplicity of putting them on and they even came with a little extractor tool to help remove them if you need to take off a tire.

None yet but looking for some
First, thank you to everyone who posted about their truthfull experiences at the dealerships with regards to the maintenance.

I did the first oil change myself and installed the fumoto drain valve F103s (it fits fine with no issue) changed out the plastic oil filter housing with the aluminum one 15620-31060, and replaced the filter 04152-yzza1. I used the Motivx Tools Engine Oil Funnel (thread-in kind), all from Amazon. 6.6 quarts of 0w20 full synthetic for auto parts store. If I'm correct the oil drain cover plate bolts were 21 ft/lbs and the Pro skid plate bolts were 33ft/lbs. It went smooth as silk once I had all the parts and tools.

Then I detailed the interior with some 303 Aerospace Protectant. And installed the weBoost Drive Reach. I installed the exterior antenna on the passenger side behind the roof rack. I needed a 5ft SMB extension antenna cable to reach the unit mounted under the passenger seat. It's been a busy 2 days! Tomorrow is a pro exterior cleaning and ceramic finish.

Went up in tire size from 265/70/17 to 285/70/17 Wildpeak AT3W on TRD wheels. Minor rub on trim (will Fix with mud flap trimming). Full size spare barely fits w/KDSS. Bilstein 6112/5160 lift and Built Right UCA’s.

that’s pretty cool. The chrome on the lugs never really stood out to me but for 25 bucks may do that. What holds them on?

Anybody run Baofeng ham radio here? Just picked up my ham license and was looking for ways to mount my handheld for offroading trips. If you do post a pic of your setup. Need some ideas.

We kinda just let ours bounce around haha. I do use the "CB" style mic/speaker combo and clip it to shirt/seat belt etc. We have not come up with a good solution yet.

Thought about trying to utilize those two small cubbies at the bottom of the main unit somehow. I don't ever use them for anything so i could probably hot glue a mount of some sort into it and have it come out with a ram mount.

They slide over the lug nut pretty snugly. I haven't been off-road with them on but through regular driving they haven't moved.

We are going to install a RAM mount in the little weird cubby in the console that doesnt fit anything useful typically. The RAM base fits in it pretty well.

Might have to steal your idea. I like that spot but didn't think a ram mount would fit it. That'll keep it out of the way of the dash stuff and doesn't mess up the cup holder ability.
