New 4Runner going to Moab

    Just bought a new Trd offroad this weekend for traveling. In the works is a summer trip to moab from the east coast. Was going to at least purchase some RSG rock sliders. As far as lift needed for moab I would like to keep it stock as possible or put something on that I can take back off without too much investment or an adjustable coilover and rear spacer that I can remove later.I'm going g out there with a jk that has a rear locker and 33s. Just want to be able to keep up

    Load range C would be better if available, but a lot of members do run Load range E.

    C range will be more than enough on the 4runner. Our 4runner on C range nitto trail grapplers worked flawless in Moab this last October.

    This moab trip will probably be a one and only. So I wanted to put the new original tires back on after the trip and put the load range E on my 2500hd because it needs tires. I have some buddies that work at shops with tire machines.

    Moab has a way of making you come back..... Its amazing. Pictures dont do it justice. That's musslemen arch. Not sure if I spelled that right haha

    Not sure where you’re located, but there’s a guy in Lakeland Florida selling a set of custom built 5th gen sliders for $350 on FB marketplace. They’re weld on, not bolt on but IMO, I wouldn’t run bolt on sliders again. I broke a set of bolt ons on my Tacoma. He’s a welder/fabricator by profession.

    This is going to be an epic trip. Unfortunately we only have 3 days to see moab. We are wanting to visit Arches and Canyonlands too. Then we are spending a day in Telluride on the way back. It would have been nice to tow my built CJ7 out and hit the big obstacles in moab but it made more sense to do the trip in a Trd offroad 4runner so my wife can help me drive. I think we will focus on the scenery and adventure.

    Have fun. Moab is super super rad. Youll shit a twinkie looking at the scenery. Its amazing out there. Its like your on the moon, or another planet. Im lucky, and live in Utah. Do a Moab road trip at least once a year. Went to easter jeep safari 6 years in a row.
    Use your rear locker, air down a bit, and youll go anywhere you want with in reason, and keeping sheet metal bashing in check. Anyway, be safe, keep HANDS IN SIDE (most the accidents i see, involve someone either holding on to the cage, and losing their fingers on a roll, or having arms out the window/door (if removed) and flopping on its side, or rolling.
    Have fun, it one HELL of a experiance. Youll dig it. Im sure of it......
