    2015 Trail Edition
On Friday I picked up a brand new 2015 Trail edition.
I had been looking at getting a 4Runner for many years.
I traded in my 2008 FJ Cruiser which I had for over 6 years.
Shortly after getting the FJ Cruiser I realized that I should have gotten the 4 Runner instead.
The FJ Cruiser is an amazing vehicle, but with a family its a little tough.
So I wanted the same exact drivetrain and offered features but with a normal body and rear doors.
I was happy to see that the Trail edition had locking rear, ATRAC and a manual transfer case shifter. And it also came with some items I didn't have on the FJC, like VSC disable switch, crawl control and terrain selector.
I like the firmness of the trail ride although the FJC was firmer.
I really liked the 4L v6 in the FJ and am happy to have it again, with more power, in the 4Runner.

    Greetings
I just traded my 2012 F J for a 2015 4Runner Trail Edition. Love the 4Runner. I kinda miss the F J. It really was my favorite of all the cars/truck/suvs I have owned. But I think this may change as I get to know and use the 4Runner.
    Glad to find the fourm.

I too have a 2015 Trail Great choice! The trail is a very solid off road choice,i am an avid angler and have taken my trail to some very remote areas in my home province of Alberta Canada ATRAC has come in very handy in the mountains and really makes a person feel secure in their ride. I hope you will have the ipportunity to take your trail into the weeds and really see what she can do!

Do you mean "cost" or application? My trail edition 4runner cost was around 50k "canadian" so expect it to be much less in the US;) as for application, any 4runner in my op. is trail worthy! The only limitation that i have experienced with the 4runner is boulders....its not quite the same as say,a JEEP when it comes to boulder terrain....but everything else,i'd feel very confident in my 4runner to get me anywhere i want to be off-road.

Sorry I should have specified. I meant what are people paying for their 4Runner TE. I'm thinking about getting one. I was thinking of just settling for an SR5 and saving some money, but the more read about the TE the more and more I'm thinking of just going all in for it. I'm glad it does well off road I plan to use it for camping and light overlanding.
