OEM or aftermarket brakes?

    When the time comes to do the brakes, which ones are the best? Meaning OEM or after market? This is for a 2017 4runner thanx

    Bilstein 5100's, AR wheels, 275 70 17 Cooper AT3, Airlift bags, Powerstop brakes/rotors, 12voltsolutions remote start, tinted windows.
    Im running Power Stop Z36 brakes and rotors front and rear. I love them. It will stop on a dime.

    Ive had good success with them. I do combined city/highway driving and pull a motorcycle trailer occasionally . They will be the brake upgrade our new Tundra gets as soon as it needs brakes

    I would go OEM as I feel Toyota OEM parts are very good. Also, Look in @Agent_Outside 's build thread about his experience with aftermarket brakes.

    I went with Power Stop rotors and pads on my 15’ Tundra (with 25K miles) after the OEM front rotors warped after going down the Grape Vine in SoCal. Common problem reported in the Tundra forums with OEM warped rotors on the 3rd gen Tundras with low mileage use.

    I put powerstop pads and rotors on my last Tacoma when it needed them and they were great. I’ll do the same to my T4R when the time comes.

    2012 4Runner Limited V6. 92500 miles. I just installed Bosch Quietcast Rotors and QuietCast™ Premium Disc Brake Pads (copper-free ceramic, with semi-metallic friction material).
    Yes, they are quiet and installed nicely. Noticeably better stopping and braking, obviously so due to replacing the original disc pads.
    It will take a few thousand miles to tell how they wear, as I don't drive this vehicle that hard...more like medium duty, and so far, no towing.
    The price for the quality of the parts is what lead me to purchase them for the overall cost of $168.00 between Amazon and Zoro.com's link:
