I thought Toyota isn’t producing the fj cruiser any longer, looks like I was wrong:
    https://www.toyota.ae/new-cars/fj-cruiser/

Sure that’s not for the us market but I thought the final end of the fj cruiser was 2017 in a final edition for the Japanese market after it was over for the us in 2014

Just more proof that Toyota USA is run by people who are a few fries short of a happy meal.

    You probably nailed it.

Once in a while they got great ideas like the “let’s go places” slogan but in general they’re definitely like you say a few fries short...

We’re also the only ones who get the 4Runner, if memory serves. So at least they have a full box of nuggets.

I like the FJC but I doubt I would have purchased one over my Runner. I like the passenger and rear door lay out of the Runner better for my family.

Dubai? Those guys have disposable income, so if the demand is there........why wouldn't you. We're lucky the 5th gen even launched. I'm sure there were people in Toyota corporate that didn't even want to continue the T4R when they started the R&D for the 5th gen. The American buying public continues to baffle and amaze the know it all execs. Those guys should listen to the public more. Oh yea and BRING BACK THE V8!! With a 6 SPEED MANUAL!! and NO HYBRID 4RUNNERS!!
P.S. Purely satire....I know we won't ever see a V8 back in the T4R, maybe not even a BOF 6th gen lol. Merry Christmas everyone!!

The right hand drive version is still made for the middle east market. Right hand drive was discontinued in 2017 I believe.

Not givin up my 4Runner for anything, but if I had the bucks for an 'extra' vehicle, I'd love an FJ just to play around with.

Not giving up mine either but if I had the bucks for a 2nd vehicle it would be something like this...but my passenger and I would wear helmets;)

I have both. My purchase of the 4Runner was based largely on the awesomeness of the FJ.
