What you mean sell something that fast? They only are making 40k.

Unless we just comparing sales to the Supra.

(I'd still rock the new Corvette anyday)

Since China is ,now and has been for years, the number one customer . GM has been doing really well. Closing USA plants and going to China for cheap labor has paid off in gold. I wouldn't mind at all IF the taxpayer had not paid billions to keep GM alive. They only paid a small percent of that amount back. That's not at all acceptable. I'll never buy GM again. I've bought over 45 GM cars . I'm out I have a new Lexus and 4runner and BMW. I hope they go bankrupt.

Saw this one last month. I love them. Honestly, if they had been available when I was buying my pro, I’d have gotten one instead. Phenomenal looking car at a great price

I heard GM will be putting on a second shift. They are after all in the car selling business. GM will build as many as they can sell. The corvette is
GM's brand icon, and more quality control goes into the corvette than any other product-always has been a great car buy.

All new GM’s will come with “Alexa”...
“Alexa? Order me parts for my broke down chevy”
“Alexa? I’m tired turn my car off”
“Alexa? Why aren’t GM employees happy making $1200 a week” #spoiled

Keep what you have! I like it so much better than the new Vette. I like the new GT500, too, but I will keep mine. Powerful enough for me, plus it has a 6-speed manual, a major part of the fun factor for a Shelby, IMO.

I couldn’t agree more... The entire GM a.k.a Government Motors situation is an absolute travesty for ALL us taxpayers. I never want to see any American citizens lose their jobs but GM was poorly ran and operated. And I irate that I was forced to invest into a product I will never buy or support. Don’t we live in a free market where we have the right to choose freely?... Our government had no right bailing out these companies, on our dime at a significant loss, that we’re incapable of balancing a budget.

I am proud that Ford never accepted government money to keep themselves afloat. Free market and competition should drive companies to do better, design and build better cars/trucks, not to be kept solvent by the taxpayers' money.

To be fair, I believe they've actually sold none since they've built none, but selling all 40,000 orders before they're built is still an accomplishment.

I agree JHawk!! The manual is definitely the fun factor. I don’t care if someone says the automatic is faster. Ours is fast enough!!

My friend ripped the rear-end out of this “Rustang” in about a month. Says the “Shelby’s” are too slow.....992B6FE3-60D9-41B0-99D9-F65335D0ACE7.jpgC0DE5B72-C3EC-4BFB-8A05-409232EE46A3.jpg

Not to be a dick, but I’d bet that any c5 and newer vette would kick your mustang’s ass.

In the 50s , 60s and even in the 70s they made much more than the average worker. The company gave into very high retirement plans. When those people started drawing the checks it was really bad news for GM.

That's actually not terrible money in some parts of the country.

Can't say that I believe it though. I would think the big 3's wages would all be fairly similar.

I have a friend that works in a Ford factory and he makes over $30 an hour. Although.. he has worked there for 20 years. New people might start out much lower.

His pension and overall retirement plan is fantastic as well.
