I saw this on youtube and thought it was interesting. If this 30 year old man was your Brother what would you do?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ut7e-0X8lds

This blows my mind. Of course I'm a old guy and think much different than a 30 year old to be fair.

I don't know whether I would be sad , mad , sorry , or what.

At 12 i was working at a plant nursery during summer breaks, delivering papers on weekends, and washing dishes at a local restaurant after school. Graduated at 17. Out the house at 18. Worked a few random jobs then left for the Army.

I think if a kid is going to college, its one thing for parents to let them stay at home while they prepare for their future, but think its quite another to let a grown man live at his parents home and just party and play video games. Doesnt help the kid at all, it hinders them for life. We have hundreds of thousands of man children these days with no idea how to really fend for themselves.

Really, I believe that all males should join the military for at least 2 years after high school, it would instill some discipline and teach them to be more self sufficient... but thats a whole other debate.

I'll say I'm glad hes not my brother hahaha. I just turned 31 and moved out of my parents house when I was 17. It was by choice and I have a great relationship with them. I don't see how a grown ass man would be ok with living with his rents till he was 30. I could see if you were taking care of them, going to school or some other circumstance. But to not have a job and bum off them blows my mind!

    Haha, what a millennial!

I was raised in a different way, I left my parents house directly after I make my own money with the age of 19 and that’s the route my kids will follow too - if they want or not.

I think it’s awesome when older kids, of ANY AGE, choose to live with parents. As long as they’re working or otherwise being productive. It often strengthens the family unit and that’s a good thing. There’s not much better than family members supporting and helping out other family members. Our country needs more of it.

If kids are just being lazy, that’s another thing entirely.

If everybody is doing well no need to change anything. This guy sued his parents in several courts. Everything was NOT going well. Big difference. I know a woman who is my age (73) and NEVER left her parents. They died and she still lives in her parents home. Everybody was happy , no problem.

Two years of service should be mandatory, it was for me back in the days and it was very low money so I wasn’t too happy about it but I never regret it and I know how much it taught me.

I agree. My story is close to yours with the exception of the Military. I went but I was drafted. At 20 I was back from VN , in a Union training program , bought a house on a GI loan , married , bought a new 68 GTX and my wife just told me she was expecting. That was a busy year or so. LOL

This guy is to busy playing with his hair and drinking water to work. LOL My first boss turned down a guy who was very well trained. I asked him why. He said he smokes a pipe. I said what does that have to do with it. He said he already has a job and walked off. LOL

On the other side of the coin was my grandfather. A WWII survivor. He swore to me he would hurt me (nicest man ever), if I joined the forces. He told me stories that make "Saving Private Ryan" real. That is not healthy!
Maybe a mandatory 2 yr national guard (after mental checks). I don't think or want everyone to be skilled with a weapon.
I have been shot by a tweaker. 18 yrs old & hit me with a 9mm. Fix the meth parents!

Atleast he could talk about it. My dad was Coast Guard, C.I.A., the only thing he could tell me was he was at The Bay Of Pigs and tracked ice burgs in the North Atlantic. He was in Nam and the Middle East....
I started selling/buying firearms at 18, F.F.L., and dealing with precious metals and stones, I could probably pass a G.I.A. certification. None of my firearms where ever used in a crime. Now Va., Maryland, and D.C. are going to track every gun, and it’s origin....

i grow up over there, there were no old people in my childhood that wasn’t involved in WWII and there was no heroic story’s about that time.
So serving over there was mandatory but since there was and is a lot of people that won’t Surveys with a gun you had a choice, it was possible to serve in socia service as well - like in homes for the elderly, working with disabled people etc.
That was making a big difference in a society

I can't speak to what I would do if I was this guy's brother... but if I was this guy, I'd fucking kill myself.

I don't watch or click on anything from Collusion News Network anymore. Complete waste of time as they are not honorable and no longer present facts. IMO.

I feel like people look at this and automatically think it's a lazy generational (Millennial) trait. I disagree. I don't think it's a generational trait, but rather an individual trait.

This particular guy is just lazy and is trying to get a free ride as long as he possibly can (nothing new, this has been happening within every generation since the beginning of time).

But a good portion of the younger generations (Gen X and Millennials) are struggling financially because of low wages, high housing prices, student debt, baby boomers working longer, a changing (tech) economy, and lingering effects of the 2008 recession. They are hard workers that have full-time jobs, but can't afford housing (on top of everything else). I sympathize with people in this situation because I've seen it with a lot of friends. Not an easy time to make a living for the lower and middle class in this county.

Even though I don’t get paid I work. Like yesterday had to give the property owner a ride into town. Today I rotated tires and put 21 stickers on the Corolla. And I’m cooking dinner. Tomorrow haircut and vehicle inspections....but this guy just seems lazy with his remarks...
