Heading up to Rocky Bottom, SC tonight to start my trek westward toward the GA/Alabama border on as much dirt as possible. Once I’m done, I will post the new and improved Georgia Traverse.

Edit: Burrells Ford Rd, no go, massive tree down just west of the Chattooga River.

Day 1 in the SC mountains near Jocassee Gorge complete. Nothing technical on Horse Pasture Rd at all. Scenery was ridiculous though.

It’s official, the Georgia traverse sucks and could be done in a minivan. Absolutely nothing that actually requires 4wd and all the good trails that had some obstacles are closed due to overuse and people doing dumb shit. I was, however, able to run some different sections to lessen the pavement time and found a couple of new roads. Pics from today.

Well that is kinda a bummer to hear I was hoping to do the Traverse but with nothing technical or even fun and interesting doesn't seem like it'd be worth it.

Charlie’s Creek was better than usual. Also, Duncan Ridge has some offshoots that need looking into. I couldn’t do it with the littles in the truck with me, they chimped out every time I hit a bump. Also, Coleman River Road (32C) off of Bettys Creek has some offshoots that looked decent. I need to get up there without the kids so I can explore properly.

You just need kids that have fun going offroading. I saw where you swung by the shop. Should of bugged Eddy more for that hybrid.

So glad my child's only screen is watching old school disney movies and stuff like that. She gets a leap pad on trips and stuff to play some games if she gets bored other wise, can keep her out of my hair for a little while at least.

Not sure what I am going to do when I feel she is old enough for a phone.

Phones are evil. My ex bought my daughter an iphone for her 8th birthday last year and my step-kids that tagged along are from New York so they were terrified of being away from pavement.

If anyone was wondering, the S&B intake works with a snorkel. E0A090D0-97DF-444F-8EA7-8F4DDB3EDC83.jpg D1AD1E51-FFD2-42F2-A68F-DD5C335EF07E.jpg

AFE exhaust installed. It’s not too loud and not too quiet. Sounds good and no drone at all.

Hopefully the video captures it okay.

Minor. Because of the larger diameter tubing, the heat shield where the tube goes between the frame and body needs to be bent a bit to prevent rubbing. Also, if you try to hang the muffler flat, it will cause the tube to rub that heat shield. You just have to rotate the muffler about 30 degrees and it's all good.

Replaced the S&B intake with the TRD intake. S&B took up space under the hood that I need for stuff.

Nope, air compressor. Don’t like hauling a co2 tank around inside the truck.

I have a 10lb CO2 Tank I carry but I’ve had a discharge inside the truck once before when I had the Tacoma. Not a fun experience.
