Is that your first Pro? What is your thoughts on the new apple play and headunit? I’m trading my 17 Pro in for 2020 Army green. I have a deposit on one.

I think JBL Sound is very poor.
I don't like this sound. Not recommended.

 

That’s not good for me. I have had a lot of aftermarket audio systems in my vehicles over the years. This is one of my upgrades because of it having the jbl why I want the newer 4Runner. 17 Pro did not have the jbl system. I will have to listen to it before I decide to buy the 2020. It may cause me to back out if I don’t like the system because it will cost me more to replace that system then just doing mine. But I know everyone’s here’s things differently when listening to music. Thanks for the head up. Don.

My2008 4runner has I build Sound systems.
pioneer 8200 had and jl sub usamp power.
celestion speakers ...

Just an FYI, if you have an iPhone 11 or 11 Pro running iOS 13, there are serious issues with making and receiving calls while using carplay. Everything else works flawlessly. I have to unplug my phone if I get a call and let it connect to the Bluetooth in order for it to work.

When on carplay, The audio cuts in and out, the radio freezes up and becomes unresponsive, neither person can hear the other. Once the calls ends, it’s totally fine.

 

That is not a 4runner issues i think,s iphone 11 update issue, will iphone fixe.

 

thats what I’m hoping but my 2020 4Runner is the only car I have had this issue in. I’m hoping the new iOS update coming in the next few weeks fixes it.

 

Have a 20 ORP with the JBL system. It's average at best - somebody who's used to aftermarket will not like it and will want to move onto something nicer. It's absolutely NOT a reason to buy a 2020. The headunit is light years better than 19 but the overall sound isn't anything special.

I need to speak with someone at oem Audio they have the upgrade for the jbl system but not sure how it makes it better. Shows on there web site 1100.00. I’m looking at everything across the board comparing my 17 Pro to the 20 besides the jbl system. I know if I upgrade my system leaving the factory headunit in I’m still looking at a decent price. I have time to think about it.

great looking truck OP question regarding the push start. does it turn blue only when the truck is unlocked? does it change to another color once the car is on?
