Hey crew. I think we've decided on KYB Excel-g front springs/shocks for my friends 2008. KYB rear shocks too. Price is right.

Now we need to pick a rear spring. If we go on Rockauto and just pick any random T4R rear spring will be be ok?

Or is it important to find something that specifically matches? KYB doesn't offer rear springs.

We're not lifting. Just looking for a cost effective solution for an on-road truck.

I’m looking at MOOG rear springs for this 2008 4Runner. I’ve verified the part number, but many reviews on Amazon say they don’t seat like the oem springs.

can any of you comment on this?

Op, did you go with Moog?. I've read in other threads that you should cut between 1/4" to 3/4" to make them seat well.

I ordered OEM springs. I just didn’t like how the moogs sat in all the pics I came across. Still confused as to why moog would make a spring that just didn’t sit flush and was so different than oem.
