Hi, I am new here. I am trying to figure out what type of 4runner to get. I realized that I am at a point in my life that I can no longer fit everyone and everything into my little truck.

    Welcome from Wisconsin!

You'll definitely find plenty of information here.

What do you intend to do with the 4runner? Off-roading/towing/ETC?

When I get sick of people, I can load up my dogs, drive to the middle of nowhere, where few can follow, and camp for the weekend. Dog hauler/offroad.

Awesome! That is one of the best things about these trucks- the ability to get far away from people and their BS!

Any trim will be fine for light off-roading.

I am thinking of doing a few mods, right off. ARB bumpers,STEDI lights, Fox/old man emu suspension, rock sliders, skid plates, etc.

Nice! I'm also looking at OME. There are a lot of good options, though. I have RSG sliders and am very happy with them.

Did you get the ones with just tubes or the ones with the plates also?
