I've had a Pathfinder, Titan, Wrangler etc, but this is my first 4Runner - FINALLY! I waited on the 2020 to get the upgraded electronics and it was the best wait of my life.....took her home over the weekend and this thing is amazing. I'm looking forward to building her up and sharing our adventures.

Coming soon - I just took delivery yesterday so it's been a busy day and a half. I'll add a few of the interior at least tonight - it's such a massive upgrade over the current one......I'm glad I waited!

Can’t wait to see. You may be one of the first to take delivery if I’m not mistaken

Probably.....I'be been working for the dealership for a while and wanted to get the first one off the truck (probably a bit of vanity in that - it's always fun being first). I figured after waiting so long, I deserved a bit of extra icing on my cake. Pics coming soon......and then the buildup begins!

    1. Congratulations!
    2. We were all wrong about auto climate control? Or was it an option?
    3. What is green symbol in last picture? Looks like lane departure or something.

Very happy to see the first 2020.
    Congratulations again!

    1. Thanks! She's a beauty!
    2. Honestly not sure about auto climate control - I should probably look into that. I'll fully read the manual this weekend. It's not something I care about, so I'm not even sure if it was an option....they finally added the 2020 to the Toyota website - I'm going to look there (for curiosity).
    3. Indicates that lane departure is on - the TSS is a bit ham-handed around town - I'll probably turn it off. I've heard that you can adjust the sensitivity but I haven't come that far yet. The auto adjusting cruise is amazing tho - worth putting up with the rest. The biggest improvement BY FAR is the screen and overall interface. It's tile-based and very easy to understand/use. I'm so glad I waited.

    2. I don't think Dual climate control is an option for your truck. In the US, I think it's only available on Limiteds and Pros. In Canada, I think it's available in the all Premium trims, as well as Limiteds and Pros. Not 100% positive with this info, however.

I actually prefer the non-automatic climate control. It's so much easier to just make the darn thing do what you want it to do instantly. No fan speeds going up and down, no fiddling around with settings. You just reach down and do it without hardly looking most of the time.

Yeah, will take more tonight.....it's really cool - all white-backed in the day, but automatically turns black when you turn on the lights (it remains white with the DRL's on).
What you see above is at night with the lights on.

Also, feel free to post any other pic requests. I don't need an excuse to snap pix of that sexy beast! Will take them when I get home tonight.

She is so purty! I am in So Cal and am on the list with 3 dealerships for their first TRD ORP. If you don't mind me asking, what did you get yours for, before tax and license? I am trying to gauge how much dealers are willing to budge on the first few that arrive. Thanks again for the info and Congrats!!

Nice ride! Same color as our new 19 TRD ORP. I like the predator steps on ours very much. Gives it a sharp look. FYI you’ve got the same wheels and tires that came on ours. I got $750 out of mine with 100 miles on them.

You doing a lift, different wheels, or anything?245327A1-FE0E-452D-ADC9-6C8A528B45DD.jpg

I'll most likely do a lift and add the black TRD rims w/ more aggressive tires - I'm going to do some research first and get it ready for next summer. We'll get it very dirty next summer, but don't do anything too extreme.

Why not different wheels than TRD? It just seems EVERYONE goes with the same exact wheels over and over. It gets boring! Of course, that’s just my opinion which isn’t worth much.

Yeah, I know what you're saying....in most cases, I like to be different. But there's just something great about those rims - I love the TRD logo in red and love that they're black. I also HATE anything chrome or flashy - it's more about utility for me. But who knows, I may find something I like better?! Stock will do good for the winter until I can make a decision.
