What's up guys and girls!! Any of you running these Patagonia M/T's? The price is pretty nice and they seem to have good reviews. Considering them for my wife's 4runner. We planning a trip to Moab in October and wanna put some new meats on there before we go. Thanks for any help

I bought a set of these a couple of years ago for a 2014 Ram 1500 with a leveling kit. I only ran mine for a few months before I sold the truck, but I was very happy with them. The set of tires I bought after them were Goodyear DuraTracs. The Patagonia MTs were the same noise level as the DuraTracs, and did just as well in packed snow, and better in deep snow. Mud was, of course, no problem. They rode nice, seemed to be wearing fine, and looked awesome.

But, I had mine siped. Not sure where you live or what terrain you drive in, but up here in snow country, siping is pretty normal for truck tires. It made them great on packed snow.

    I would buy another set.

I'm strongly considering these for my next set. I have heard a lot of good things.

I'm a little scared of deep mud, so I want a tire that will give me the best possible mud tractio , while not sacrificing other qualities.

The only negative I've heard was that they don't last very long. But I think I heard 30-40K miles, which I think is acceptable, especially for the price.

I'm interested in any other input.

Being 1/2 the price of anything else I like right now makes these very interesting for my son's Jeep. If they wear 30k mile I still come out ahead.

I think I'm going to get a set for my excursion. A set of 38"s is under a grand. Only negative I've heard like bassman said was they may not last as long as other tires and have read they are a softer tire. I saw them on a TJ the other day and they look pretty cool. My matercrafts have about 30k on them and are about shot and cost 2x as much as these.

Good find! It looks like discount tire started carrying these as well. I've seen them at Wal Mart for awhile and in a 38-13.50-17 Walmart is about 70 bucks cheaper a tire. Think I will get a quote from Wal Mart and have discount beat it just so I can deal with them for rotations and not have to deal with Wal Mart.

Good plan! I bought my last set of tires at Discount and will continue to give them my business.

I bought a few sets of tires at the cheapest place and had progressively worse experiences. I'll pay a few more dollars and have professionals do it.

Totally agree with you on that. My old boss's son is a regional manager for discount so I usually get a pretty good deal going there. I've got to do ball joints on the excursion before I get new meats but am looking forward to trying these out.

I just bought a set for my 2017 Tacoma. 285/70/17

Some road noise, but I love them. I agree on the lower cost.

I was surprised when I went from the Patagonia MTs to the Goodyear Duratracs that they were about equal in noise.

Got lost down a YouTube rabbit hole tonight and found a video of a towing service that uses an old Cherokee with the Patagonia MTs on it to yank out some truly stuck vehicles. Impressive traction in sand...

Found another video where he does a little bit of a review of them in the middle...

Don’t know if this is a typical experience, because I’ve also otherwise seen good reviews... but had a Jeep friend that ran these, with a less than stellar experience. Only around 7,000 miles on the tires, driving from Michigan to Colorado, and the tires were gone... tread just sort of destroyed itself. Had to get new tires mid trip.

I now have these on my son's Wrangler 35/12.5/20's. First impressions is that they are EXTREMELY quiet! Kinda resemble old Super Swamper's in looks w/o any of the associated noise. For the price if they last 20-25K miles I'm going to be ahead since they were 1/2 the price for almost every other brand/model. Time will tell and my son is not easy on anything with that Jeep... The cheapo M/T's that came on it when I bought is last 44K miles so there's the bar. Those would have been more expensive than the Patagonia's.

I think 44 k out of any MT is pretty damn good.
