Nothing listed in the Manual about this. I don't have this on my 19 4Runner . Does anyone have this?

Well...if you never drive at night you might not need this option. BUT...if you drive in traffic at night you're going to keep pushing or pulling the shaft to either brighten or dim your headlights. I guess you could just leave the headlights on bright. You might get a few bad reactions from other drivers. Wouldn't it be nice to let the lights control themselves?

We had this on a Camry we rented. When a texter rear ended my Corolla. Nice feature, it also steered itself on main roads.

Very useful option. It's been around for decades. I think a 56 Cadillac offered it .

My dad’s Ford has a foot operated switch on the floor. Even that is easier than clicking the wheel stick...

    Better yet,
My first vehicle (given to me by my parents) was a late 80's E-150! Same feature & it was great.
I also enjoyed the 2 rows of captains chairs (front two spun around to face the rear), a tiny tv that never got a picture. But most of all was the bench seat in the rear that turned into a bed!
    *Note to all parents*
    This is a bad idea!
My parents are hippies & they didn't see this coming.
If I could find it I would buy it again.
We did everything in that van as teenagers!
It had window shades! Put up a windshield visor & no one is home...
    :headbang:
Anyway, it had the floor high beams & I loved that also! LMAO
    That brought up memories!

I loved my 1966 Ford. Fit 13 people in it one night. Had a three on the tree. I had to get rid of it was hot as a firecracker....Just saw one on Craigslist and I would love to get another....26C32AE3-120A-4E10-8798-567AA10BBE16.jpg

Here ya go. Automatically dims to avoid oncoming drivers. If a pedestrian walks from the side, will not light there face but will lay an led crosswalk across the street.

The 2020 models get the Toyota Safety Sense which I think might include auto high beams. There have been auto headlights for a long time but not auto high beam.

If I'm driving in traffic at night, I probably won't be switching brights on and off much. I just leave them on low, but I run my fogs too, just for a little additional light. It's really not *that* much of a hassle to move the stalk when you want the brights on or off. But I'm sure there's some mod out there to do it automagically so people can keep texting or eating a bowl of soup while driving, not that that's your intent, wawuzit.

Don't eat in the car. I have Bluetooth. My Lexus is much more user friendly , maybe that's the problem. Sorta like the old days of when people had to keep the fires going or die. I got use to a gas unit and thermostat.

My dad’s 1950s Chevy Apache didn’t have the auto dimmer, but it did have “push-button” start. You shoved a peddle with your foot which shoved the starter gear onto the flywheel gear and closed the circuit to spin the starter motor. No solenoid to fail.

Tennessee is a very FREE lifestyle state. Super low taxes , state laws are reasonable and fair BUT...pitbulls are a problem. Several people have been killed. They are very dangerous dogs. I love dogs and have owned many in my lifetime but you can get into real trouble owning a pitbull. The courts do not like these dogs.

    https://www.knoxnews.com/story/news...acked-pack-dogs-south-knox-county/2178426001/

A pitbull was one of the dogs. This was only a few days ago.
