2008 V8 Limited.

There is a 2008 Limited V8 for sale with 97k miles on it. Has CD changer, leather blah blah blah. Two things....minor accident front left of the vehicle popped up and a mileage inconsistency was reported during a purchase. Asking price is 16,495. Any thought ladies and gentleman. I dont know enough about 4runners to make an educated guess. Thanks in advance.

 

What type of accident? What was the damage? The mileage; was it maybe that someone miss entered the mileage during serviceing?
I feel 16,495 is a little high. 4years ago I paid 16,700 for ours, and that was to much then. I should have paid about 1200 less, but we were out of time to look for other one.

 

You mentioned two redflags - i would pass. There are a lot of t4r in the market, be patient.

 

Front left hit to rear of another vehicle. It was reported that no airbags went off. I am not so sure that an accident bothers me that much. It was reported as minor. So since I am not well versed on 4Runners, and I have been looking for one for a while, I live somewhere where not many V8's come up for sale. So you are saying you paid relatively the same price for yours 4 years ago all things equal? I don't think I would pay that of course there is always bargaining room.

 

The mileage thing can be a simple thing. As above person mentioned. Accident was left front hit minor. I have been keeping my eyes on V8 4runners. And it seems the 03 to 04's are cheap as all get out. I just saw an 04 with 40k on it for 15,900. All records. Then you get into the 07, 08's and the price goes up quite a bit. As mentioned I am sure I could get an 03 or 04 same miles and options for about 8-10k go up to an 08 MY it is 16k. Seems like all of the 08ish 4Runners with like mileage are similarly priced if not more and are 1100-1400 miles away. Everything seems to be on the east coast all the time.
