I got my RMA# yesterday. Going to drop them off at UPS tomorrow. I love the look of the lights but I need function over a pretty form. Unless Morimoto completely changes the output/cutoffs, I won't buy them again. For a little more $ ( or less depending on options) I can get a custom set.

Unfortunately there aren't many options for retrofitting a 5th Gen due to the side mounted projector. I know there's a LED & Bi-xenon projector out there. But that's a big $ project. I talked with Lightwerkz, they told me a clear lens swap with OEM projector will outperform a Lexus retrofit. Cheaper too.

They already have people making offers to buy ours. Apparently they have 3 rma's out of the 50

Morimoto will make bank off of these. I've lost count of how many want them.

Instead of returning them, sell them privately and make some money off them.

Thought about it but don't wanna contribute to a possible accident. Those that are loving them could be in the wrong place at the wrong time without fogs on. I got lucky and had no one in the way when I rounded that corner

    Fair points indeed.

Perhaps you could sell them to 2020 owners with TSS :)

Well I am in the same boat. Mine arrived last Monday on Aug 12 and we installed them today. They are pretty and very nicely built However all our forum members who bought and installed these Xenondepot headlight assemblies are correct . I can not see both sides of the truck . you can run over the curbs and people too. My Morimoto HID conversion kits are far superior to these LEDs .I did send them an email explaining my issues ,and I will call them Monday morning .Will see how it goes.IMG_2222.jpg IMG_2222.jpg IMG_2223.jpg IMG_2223.jpg IMG_2223.jpg IMG_2287.jpg IMG_2288.jpg

They will take them back. Tell them your not paying 10% restocking fee. They have people that are waiting inline to buy knowing the problem.

I love them, the price is fair, the quality of the light assembly is top notch, the clarity is also really good for the ground they cover. For day time use they are great, But the problem is the that the projector housing has a design flaw. I will be returning mine as well, I just email xenon depot.

When you say design flaw. Is it the lack of side lighting or something else?
I really wished they did more R&D on these things!

I think the the lenses in these headlight assembly should have been angled differently more toward the outsides and further out front . What I am having is about 15 to 20 feet no lights in front of the truck and no lights on the sides, therefore you need to have the fog lights on in order to see properly. The headlight assembly is top notch no question about it, but the light output is less than my Morimoto HID kit. I think they need better LED chips too( XHB50 or XHB70 Cree ).I do not mind paying $1500 to these lights assemblies if they put out light like my Lexus or Corolla.

Is it possible to replace the LED bulbs with HID bulbs in these light assemblies?

Gotcha. On another forum they may start marketing them " to be used with fog lights"
Easy way around fixing them and stall out returns

$1150 initial purchase. I'll make a claim with PayPal, see if I can be reimbursed for return shipping. I more curious to see if Xeno Depot will play games and not fully refund me.

Mine was $114. I still need to hit up paypal but they will cover "up to" $30 12 times per year so see what happens their.
Mine were shipped, they signed for them last Wednesday and I haven't seen or heard anything yet

Post office in my area is like going to a low income clinic. You wait wait wait wait with miserable workers, get to the front the line and they make crap up like I need there box or wrong tape so you need to leave and come back. I'll never go back and now I understand where the term gone postal comes from.

The Projector needs to be about another 1” or so out of the housing tube. It’s the shadow from the Projector housing that creates the dead spots on both sides. It’s been over 24hrs and I haven’t heard from Xenon Depot.

How do you change a bulb if it burns out? Do you have to purchase a whole new unit?

You can't change the bulbs. It's a sealed unit.

    Well,
The warranty was for 5 years, so I am assuming it’s thats the life expectancies for all the LED chips. The things nobody new you could change the bulbs until you opened your box and realized you had a sealed unit (surprise).
