It’s for tire clearance. My 285 tire rubbed at full lock in reverse. Now it doesn’t.

 

Blacked out emblems, center console organizer, remote start, soon painting front & rear silver valances black.

 

Greased the drive shafts.

 

The lil kid in me couldnt wait. They have zero light when turning in dark or poorly lit turns. They are not safe and now I can only hope they give full refund and pay shipping

Got my two front windows tinted, and parked outside to dry tint and come out to this crap on the hood

Yep, for those that think they are pricey? In 2016 f150 leds were selling faster than they could make them for 2500.
These looked good though. To bad the lighting was not safe

 

Pretty shocked a company like morimoto wouldn’t catch that the lights aren’t even putting out enough light at the right angles to be safe, before selling them.
They better pray nobody gets in an accident while running them at night and has poor visibility

 

Are they DOT approved? That's the real question.

 

Theres a controversy on another runner forum. Xenon claims yes its dot approved even has the stamp on in advertising and is printed on the box it was shipped on, but not stamped on the light. One member challenged them and xenon spoke up said that they could meet dot standards but they do not have the rights to use it. It was misleading advertising as well

 

I’d definitely want a full refund and if that wasn’t expedited I’d take things down another avenue

 

My lights have the DOT stamp. But there's no way they're legal with that awful output, even for LED.

 

I see a trip to the car wash. I currently have a monthly plan and use it for anything even it it’s a small bird crap.

 

Frustrating weekend. 1:3 projects completed. AND a car wash with the new rack. Happy that the rack survived the car wash. Happy I have new dash speakers.

What percentage tint? Any green hue on the front?


Mine came with front 2 windows tinted... But just barely. I got an appointment 2 weeks from now for tint. I'm thinking I'll go 15% all around.

My last 2 Tacomas were 5% limo all the way around. Never had an issue.

 

15% I’m pretty sure no green hue it’s just a tad darker than rear windows but blends very well ...

 

Did they tint just the front 2 windows at 15% and you kept the backs the way they came? Were your front 2 tinted at all when you got it?

I'm having this guy tint 15% on all windows except the windshield... I figure 15% on top of the "privacy glass" windows will make it darker than my front 2. My front 2 came tinted But it's very light. I'll have that removed before putting 15% on them.

 

I think the front tint is IN the glass. Mine is kinda brownish.

 

The green hue is in the glass... But... My front 2 windows definitely has added tint. You can see and feel it on the edge of the window and can pull it off.

Crazy thing is... They only added tint to front 2 windows but still add $499 bucks to the sticker price for tint LOL

My wife has a 2019 Camry with tint from factory too... It's darker and more windows were actually tinted... Still $499 add-on on her sticker as well. Crooks LOL

 

Yes only had the front two done I had thought about doing the rear ones but don’t really need it , if you do the 15 on top of the factory tint they will definitely be completely blacked out lol ... I’m guessing...

I really like their stuff, but can't stand their logo cut out of everything.

 

So, on my rig, I did the 20% on the fronts, and to help hide the OEM yellow window tint, I requested they use more of a carbon Black. That's why we ended up using the XPEL XR Black. Because I wanted solar protect all around the vehicle and more privacy in the back, we used 55% on all back windows. The 20/55 combo with the OEM tinting matched up really well. See post 5585 I actually wanted the back end even darker, but the shop talked me out of it. Said it wouldn't look right.
