That's what I'm saying. If it was an improvement over stock in both high and low beams, it would be worth something. Plus the convenience of not having to replace bulbs every year or so.

Still, $1100+ is a lot of $$! But, if people will pay it, then that's what it's worth.

I thought Rigid was overpriced, until I started looking at specs. A significantly better product justifies a significantly higher price.

Will do. I wouldn't be surprised if we have to pay for shipping. I just want a full refund.

    I think (Ridid) is overpriced.
But as you stated... they sell tons!

    Nice! What did you get?

I'm looking at the SS series ditch lights. I hate the price, but they're soo bright!

They are expensive, but they're significantly brighter than any budget brand.

It's justified because you are actually getting what you pay for.

If you search enough & find the decent cheap things; sometimes you get lucky.
My light bar on my Ford is a no brand Chinese made $120 bar. It is a curved 32" 420w with 5d lenses. It has worked for years & I put lens covers on to mitigate pitting & yellowing. It works great & it is 1/10 of a similar Rigid.
I could buy a new bar every year for a decade! It is used a lot & plenty bright!
    My $0.02

Just backup lights. I live next to a park where little kids walk, run or ride by even at night! Had these on all my trucks, just forgot to pull them from my old one...it's that getting old thing again

    Maybe, but there's no guarantee.

I'd be willing to bet that the rigid equivalent would survive a lot more abuse than a generic one.

Also, have you ever had an opportunity to compare yours to a rigid? I would also bet that the rigid would have a better beam pattern and is probably brighter.

As for abuse. Mine is used during snowstorms. Snow, salt & ice are pushed upon it. This thing is a tank.
No, I have never seen a comparable Rigid in person. I bet they are brighter. So long as I can see curbs & obstacles. I am cool with saving possibly thousands of dollars.
    Just my $0.02

Where do you live that you can use a light bar on the streets?

I thought they were considered off road use only. Maybe I'm mistaken?

    I plow large commercial lots.
I turn it off when on streets...
Hitting a curb or chunk of heaved concrete while plowing @ 15mph hurts you & the truck!

    Aha! That makes sense.

Yeah, if that thing is holding up on a plow truck, in the cold n salt, ETC, it definitely paid for itself!

I was looking at rough country as a mid price option, but then I looked at the specs against rigid.

It sounds like you really did find a great deal.

Tomorrow night I will take a on & off picture to show light output.
It is all about the chip watt & the reflector housing. I will try & find a similar bar to mine to show specs.
I will start a different thread.
I feel I hijacked this one.
    :threadjacked: sorry.

I figured this should head back to this thread to not clutter up the 5th gen thread. I looked and didn't see a DOT stamp on my headlights but I will open the box later tonight and look!

I came across 2 guys on IG who love their lights, specifically the cutoff. I know that's not important but at least somebody is having a good experience.

Maybe they don't turn in dark areas? In one neighborhood they were fine but street corners were litl up like Xmas trees

One of them had a video riding down a dark road. His lights look much brighter than mine but the cutoff was still bad like ours.

On the other runner forum most all are seeing the cutoff. They admit its annoying but say its fine running the fog lights(and it is). one guy the tabs were bent but still usable and 2 guys get hyper flash. Thats due to aftermarket LEDs according to directions.
So they said they would give me full refund but I would need to eat shipping. dang was $110 to ship UPS ground. That said Xenon said the next revision should handle this and unless I find a better setup by then...I'll buy them

$110 for UPS ground?? Are you in Alaska or something? That's almost as much as it cost to ship my sliders!!

That's good news. I haven't heard anything from them yet. Guess I'll call or email again.

I'm shopping quotes for a custom set atm. I prefer HID over LED, better performance all around imo. Something simple like a black housing, lens swap, and maybe a switchback halo will probably be the same price of the XBs.

Similar to this minus the strips

No problem. When you have a shipping receipt, go to your paypal transaction and there will be a link to request a return shipping refund.

Did they get back to you on a refund?

So today when I read inbetween- the lines from xenon is that marketing may be changed saying " to be used with fogs"
    Easy fix if that happens!
Many are keeping them saying they are awesome and if needed they will use the fogs.
My last night of testing I was in a fairly well lit area in heavy traffic on a 30mph road. I knew I had to turn right and I didn't know that street light was burnt out till I turned. Zero reaction time to even think of turning on the fogs and it was pitch dark going similar from going sunlight into a dark room the eyes play tricks...I rounded the corner and yeah, scared the crap out of me as I saw black, not even road stripes. Imo, dangerous. I hope they redesign or I will be looking at retrofitting.
Does anyone know if Lexus HIDs fit our rides?
