Trust me, it’s the Japanese made that makes all the difference.

My first career was writing service for Honda/Acura/BMW for about 18 years, most of those years at Acura.

I was there when half were USA made and the others Japan, unbelievable difference in warranty repair orders on the American made vehicles. No matter what model. The Japanese cars just didn’t have near the issues! For real it was nuts to see the patterns as the years went by.

Same holds true on the BMW side, they truly make a drivers car however the USA produced have many more small issues over the German ones. If you can get one of them, lol...

Worst was the poor TLs, after the 2nd Gens came out the quality just nose dived.

All Integras, Legends, TLs, Vigors, & NSX were Japanese. The original TSX was based off the Accord Type-R, it was a solid car.

I want to keep my 2015 Tacoma and put the wife in a T4R soon. Don’t need the TSS crap.

Agreed. Woulda been a great truck if they kept the 4.0. The 3.5 sucks. Horrible on the interstate. With any wind at all I was getting like 13mpg.

I'm getting better all around mpg in the 4runner than I ever did with the 3rd gen taco. Ridiculous.

I just can’t believe how they keep the costs down. I mean take my 96, it was 42k new, the price is practically the same now over twenty years later. Yes still assembled in Japan but parts are made in places like Indonesia and China now...

I dislike EVERYTHING about the FJ cruiser. If I had money to get a new 4R I would finance the rest for a new Landcruiser...I don’t off-road...

I’m sure they are nice. Just don’t like the shell design. And don’t like how they right out TOYOTA in the front rather than the emblem. And I don’t like carrying the tire on the rear hatch..

I LOVE my 2014 Corolla premium S! Don’t laugh, it was ahead of its time, push button start, fully loaded, fast and handles well. Gonna rock it for five more years hopefully..

Yes, very well built. It’s reenforced and has a drip edge and drain hole. SLP!! I don’t have the air-filter asssembly on right now...I like the stock configuration..I have three different ones..Built in Canada, engine made in Flint...

I have the original hood and it has two fake ram airs.lol but at least they don’t block the view. Seems you get glare on the 4R and can see it, the hood doesn’t angle down and is in your view....

    To be determined
I’ve had absolutely zero issues with my hood /glare. I’ve actually learned how valuable it is. At 6’4” it’s annoying when I pull up to a light that’s close to the stop line. Gotta tilt my head to see when it turns green.. if it’s dark out, I can just watch for the reflection of the light off the hood and it solves the issue

Other bonus is it adds like 80 hp in coolness looking points ;)

I’m just jealous. You will have to excuse me. It takes a lot of hard work to pull a newer one. My Corolla IS a push button start. And I absolutely love it. It turns on the interior lights when I get near it and unlocks. And unlocks the trunk too.

I was curious and googled it. 1996 MSRP was $19,488-$32,988.

I think with inflation, they are cheaper than they used to be, though

Id like to see that. There must have been a lot of dealer add-ons. At least $9K worth!

EDIT: here's a picture of one from a highly optioned SR5...

WTF? Did yours come with a Jacuzzi or something??

Here’s the CBR you want. Now they got traction control, ABS, it’s really advanced. I’ve seen this bike ride on the front tire at 75mph for a hundred yards!!!A052BB87-321B-41AD-8D56-C2F42EDD1D68.jpgIts against the laws of physics!!!
