Was a little bit of a challenge getting the CV axle out, but not too bad of a job over all. If you want to take it on, I think there is a pretty good write up about it over on Tacomaworld. Or possibly a video from ECGS, its been a while don't really remember.

Can we get a shot from straight on in the front please? Looking to see if there is coverage for the LCA cam bolts.

This is @Trident904 runner. He ran our stuff on his old Tacoma as well and has been patiently waiting for the rest of his skids since he ordered before we even made them :D if that tells you anything.

Call ECGS that's going to be your fix as the new bearing the dealer would put in would eventually end up doing the same thing.

There are some good YouTube how-to vids on the ecgs bearing install. I think their tool would make it easier overall. The most important thing-- stuff a plastic bag in there while working so you don't drop the tool inside where it can't be retrieved. This will be noted in the videos.

You can’t go wrong with SOS. FYI, I’ve been wheeling since 1993, hard wheeling, not this pussy IG wheeling that people do nowadays and I’ve never damaged my alignment cams. These skids sit below the cams and don’t bend to allow anything to get to the cams.

I’ve seen people damage their cams, but that’s because they are doing dumb shit at speeds they shouldn’t be wheeling at.

    You’ll be fine.

No worries, I'm familiar w SOS coming from tacomaworld. Some of the 4R skids seem narrow there, wanted another view of it.

Ready for some work this weekend. Dash speakers trimmed, and speaker grills trimmed. Waiting on the Tacotune adaptors. Ya I know you can do it without the adaptors, but they just looked easier to me.

You adding a amp and sub to the factory headunit? Just curious which way you are going. I plan on down the road to upgrade my system in my Pro.

I already replaced my OEM radio with a Pioneer NEX head unit. It’s a great product and worth the upgrade. I’m not adding an amp. Since I was pulling the door panels off this weekend I figured I would replace the front speakers.

Yeah I think it's fairly easy to do it's just finding the time to do it. I have watched several different videos. Got so many things to do, it seems my plate is always full. Still have not decided as it just started to make the noise. Also don't know what they will charge me yet, that will be the decision maker. Have to e-mail them.

The factory points are meant for strapping down the vehicle during transport not really meant for harsh dynamic loads like those from a snatch strap. That being said we've used them before on stock vehicles just have to use some common sense and not go hard on them if you do get stuck.

Yeah for sure. Toyota lists them as both securing points and tow points. I think they’re fine for most jams you get in
