The premiums will now have the push button start (standard) … soon the key will become extinct. In the comments people are ripping the 4.0 and 5 speed transmission …lol, careful what you wish for !

Glad I have a '17. Those price increases are large...and for features that I have zero interest in.

This is already starting to happen across the spectrum with manufactures and is starting to drive up the cost of the key blanks....

Indeed. Had on last vehicle and wasn't a fan. Witnessed one go out in a newer Nissan and was an expensive PITA to get fixed. I'm sure they will need replaced on average much more often than keyed starters and for a lot more $$

Just recently a lady bought a new car and on her way home stopped at a local store, left her purse in the car (with the extra FOB in it). Locked the doors with other FOB. Well, some cars will not let you lock the doors with the FOB in the car. Suffice it to say, the car wasn't locked and someone stole her purse....

Probably was trying to avoid his wife in that retirement community. It is rampant with STD's ;). It's like an old people orgy in that community.

When I took delivery of my 2017 GTI, I was told a replacement key fob would run about $450 + tax......

Exactly why I bought a 2019. Heard the 2020s would be getting pushbutton start and Safety Sense, neither of which I wanted. And a $1280 price increase too....lol

Just purchased a 2019 ORP. Moving over from the Land Rover world. I specifically wanted a '19 model year truck to avoid the Toyota Safety Sense and could not be happier.

No regrets, I was going to wait for a 20. Bought a 19 in June after reading up. 8" nav screen is no big deal as the sound sucks even with jbl. A new deck would be needed anyway (for me) .saftey sense on previous vehicles was more of a pain than helpful. Unless your streets have clear paint markings right and left it doesn't work

I would rather have a 2020 than my 2018. I like the new features.

That said, I don't want it enough to trade in a perfectly good 2018.

Wonder if alignment costs go up with the new Safety Sense equipment? Had a VW with similar equipment and the alignment cost was $500.

TRD Pro doesn't really need these features, they will become a headache down the road. More electronics means more potential repairs and TRD Pro is all about simplicity. You definitely don't want your sensor to malfunction and keep beeping when you are in the middle of nowhere.

Right cuz only TRD PRO's will used "in the middle of nowhere". An even the "simple" TRD PRO has 5 computers. The SR5 is the simplest, electronic wise, 4Runner because it does not have all the electronic off road things the PRO and Offroad have.
