    I generally read many reviews before making a purchase. So far this player is perfect for my needs. One of the reviews suggested that the sound quality was inferior, which possibly could be in the Bluetooth mode. But this is one of the few players that has the Bluetooth capability, and for that, I love it. When I used an audio cable to my Bose speakers or headset, there was no hum or distortion (a very slight hum is audible in Bluetooth with wireless earbuds, but not enough to bother me.) I found that if the speaker or headset volume was set at the fullest level, there was no problem at all with volume being too low. The volume then can be easily adjusted on the player itself. Also the fact that the battery is rechargeable makes it well worth the price. I have not yet had a chance to check how long the battery lasts, but so far it has been great. I am looking forward to enjoying the player, especially when I am on the go. The companion manual is also very helpful with setup and Bluetooth pairing.

    After my Insignia CD player stopped working this past summer, I wanted to buy another one, but Best Buy does not sell it any more, so I had to expand my search. I'd never heard of the Oakcastle brand before ( it sounds like an English pub), but this model got good reviews and it was affordable. It also was rechargeable, so I wouldn't have to keep buying and using batteries. After you press the start button, it takes about 5 seconds for the CD to start playing. The sound is good ( like other reviewers, I suggest using different headphones, since the ones that come with the player are so-so). I listen to it for about a half-hour at a time when I'm at the gym, and I probably get several hours worth of playing time with each charge. I wish the buttons stayed lit up while the player was in use. And it feels less sturdy that players I've used in the past. I carry it in a padded bag that is sort of like a small purse, so it is protected. I'm happy with this purchase.

    I bought the CD100 about two weeks ago after researching many, many others. I chose this because it was an excellent value and I thought it had a good chance of pairing with the Blue Tooth in my 2021 Toyota Highlander XLE Hybrid which has no CD player. If it didn't work in the car, I could probably return it or at least I'd have a nice player for other use. It does pair with Toyota's blue tooth, albeit a bit clumsy figuring out the procedure on the car's end, but once you've done it a couple of times, it is quite easy. The directions for CD 100 are excellent, simple and straight forward. The sound quality is very good, although I did find it necessary to increase the bass and mid range response a bit. The only reason for the 4 stars is the need to re-pair the unit each time you need to change discs. On a long road trip playing a book on disc, you will be going through this annoying procedure several times. If there is a work-around for this, I'd like to know about it. Prior to buying this unit, I did audio books via Audible.com using their 30 day free trial. It is a nice service with a great selection, but the price per book after the trial period is too high. With CD 100, which was $44.00, I get an excellent cd player, free books on cd from the library and that's it. An excellent value!

     En la caja vienen un cable USB-C para cargarlo, unos audífonos bastante sencillos, un adaptador que permite controlar volumen y reproducción de las pistas, así como un cable auxiliar de 3.5mm.
    Tiene bluetooth que me permitió conectar unos audífonos Galaxy Buds 2 Pro y unos Realme Air 5 Pro.
    No lo dice en las especificaciones pero el códec es SBC, de acuerdo a las pruebas que realicé.
    En general se ve de buena calidad, pero no aguanta una caída de 1 mt en adelante, así que hay que cuidarlo bien.
    La pantalla es muy sencilla pero se ve bien de día al sol y de noche ni se diga.
    Funciona con batería integrada que se recarga por puerto USB-C. Tarda un par de horas en cargar del 10% al máximo.
    La duración que me ha dado con el volumen al 100% es en promedio unas 4.5 hrs.
    Trae ecualizadores predefinidos, de acuerdo al gusto de cada quién. De manera personal lo prefiero apagado.
    Lo curioso es que puedes escuchar simultaneamente por cable y bluetooth, aunque aveces puede haber desfase de ciertos milisegundos que se llegan a notar bastante. Me ha pasado un par de veces.
    Puntos en contra no tengo de momento. Intentaré subir una reseña más completa en yt.

    I miss a number of my cds that aren’t available as downloads. The soundtrack of Easy Rider is one example and my cd player is in the house. I wanted a portable player that I could listen to outside, either with earphones or via a speaker. This unit fits the bill to perfection.

    It seems well made and I’m assured by the brand and their 3 year guarantee. I have other Oakcastle products and they’re excellent. This is easy to set up. It was fully charged out of the box and is supplied with usb c cable. No ongoing expense with batteries. The earphones supplied are acceptable but the sound is significantly improved with decent headphones. Through my Sennheiser, the above album was outstanding…great bass, but not overpowering, clear crisp Mids and trebles. It paired easily with my large UE boombox and the sound filled the garden. A very basic graphic equaliser allows a little modification, but I’ve left it on rock setting.

    All the buttons and controls are smooth and easy to operate. The backlit screen is easy to read and there’s a charge indicator. I can also connect via aux cable to an external speaker. That’s great if you have a car without cd player. If you have an aux input, just set this up in the car for cd playback. It’s resistant to bumps and bounces and doesn’t skip. I’m very impressed and looking forward to revise pile of albums I haven’t heard for some time. Although made abroad, the company is based in Cambridge, so it also helps support a home based business. Very happy to recommend.

    Das kleine Kerlchen verrichtet seinen Dienst im Auto, da dort ja keine CD-Laufwerke mehr verbaut werden. Über das mitgelieferte Kabel via Klinkenstecker mit dem Auto verbunden, war das Koppeln kein Problem. Vorher im Haus noch mit den Bluetooth-Lautsprechern verbunden. Auch kein Ding. Im Fahrbetrieb keine Aussetzer beim Überfahren von Unebenheiten. Aktuell läuft er im Akku-Betrieb, über die Laufzeit kann ich noch keine Angaben machen.
    Mitgeliefert werden alle benötigten Kabel und ein Paar In-Ear-Kopfhörer, die ich aber noch nicht getestet habe. Der Player ist nur unwesentlich größer als die abzuspielenden CDs. Er macht einen soliden Eindruck, allenfalls die Schiebeschalter zum Öffnen des Deckels sowie zum Ein- und Ausschalten wirken etwas filigran und wenig robust.

    Bis jetzt aber: ein guter Kauf, würde ich sofort wieder nehmen und kann den Player nur empfehlen!
